WHAT ARE INVERTERS?

An inverter is a device that converts DC electricity to AC power. It controls the flow of electricity in a solar system.

An inverter is a type of electrical device that converts a DC input into an AC output. Aside from converting, an inverter can also produce a clean, repeating, and balanced sine wave, which can be used to inject electricity into the grid.

The first inverters were mechanical, and they used a spinning motor to continuously change the direction of a supply. Today, they’re made out of solid-state components.

Aside from converting solar energy to AC, your household solar system also performs various functions. One of these is monitoring the system and communicating with computer networks.
